RHAP students took part in a one month transmedia workshop lead by Katy & Joel Mejia where they filmed themselves making art using go pro cameras to be shared with their “video Pal” students in Nicaragua. The themes covered in the workshops and after school activitied include cultural identity, media literacy, environmental conservation, bi-lingual communication, creative expression, community building as well as understanding what it means to be a global citizen.
